  • You never needed an email account to make a reddit account. All you had to do was click next or skip.

  • Integrity company here. It's been a year since we partnered with known mobster Two Face and we promised you that he would have no influence over our business other than as a financier and we've kept that promise! As you can see his racketeering has been kept completely independent of our day to day activities. You can trust us and Two Face that we will be allowed to be completely independent and there is no tom foolery going around behind the scenes.

  • The FiiO m5 looks very promising. Thanks for the recommendation.

  • Yeah, was wondering if maybe there had been some budget audiophile compact options that were no bigger than the size of ipod Nanos that were lurking around.

So not old school, but at least old school in not being a smart device.

  • Yeah, SanDisk is one that has popped up as a mp3 option with Bluetooth, so currently leaning towards picking that up.

  • I would love an ipod nano since the build quality is so nice, but sadly they never introduced one with Bluetooth before they got discontinued. Curse these smart devices.

  • Is it the Bluetooth one? That's the one I've been thinking of getting.

  • Been looking at mp3 watches too. Want something that is dumb. Don't want to go running around with expensive smart watches that have become so popular.

  • Yeah I came across one sansa that has Bluetooth. It's a shame these dumb device mp3 players got phased out. I found myself wanting one for when I don't want to carry around a phone for something more compact while still delivering good quality sound.

  • Hoping something more compact, since don't really want to carry around a smartphone sized device while running.

  • I guess I need to add some other details. I meant a hardware mp3/flac device. Like old school ipods.

  • I rate short animes higher because it respects my time.

  • I did a data request and then it took a while to receive my data, so I used power delete suite delete in case the API stopped working. Rewrote and deleted my comments.

In my file there was comments overwritten with the writing I had put in before it got deleted. It was gone but present in the data export. So seems it was at that time the data back up was done they were not deleted, but what was rewritten was present.

There were also comments and submissions that didn't get deleted by power delete suite even though I can't see them in my profile. So those I have to go through manually using the csv file to delete them. Trying to get shreddit working to automate that process.

  • Thanks for the help. I'll give this method a try. Hope it works.

  • So just run like the usual command? like

shreddit --username YouRedditUsername --password YourSuperSecretPassword123 --client-id clientidreplace --client-secret clientsecretreplace

  • I think I'm understanding it. So I should use txt to make the env file and put it in a folder with my extracted csv file. What command should I use to run the env file? That's something I haven't encountered before on Linux.

  • Could you do a step by step guide on set up? I'm clueless so don't even know where the shreddit.env file is after installing through cargo. Had tried the manual method too of downloading the Linux file on github.

  • I've been the weird one where I refused to make a real Facebook account and would make a throwaway with fake names when I'd need it for classes. What would prompt the creation of another throwaway would be when Facebook would lock my account and demand I send in ID or picture verification.

  • I used that one to delete my comments and submissions, but when I did a search of my username there were some that it wasn't able to delete. Turns that for those the GDPR data reddit sends you needs to be used to go through and delete those comments individually. Haven't had luck setting up shreddit so been going through the permalink provided in the data request and deleting it one by one.

It's mixed in with data that was successfully deleted, so in 30 days I'll request another one for a more cleaned up list that only contains the undeleted material.
