  • Yep, Bill loves having guys in specific roles and Zeke is still a solid blocker / pass pro. No doubt Mondre is the guy but zeke should see plenty of play.

  • I have no idea what to expect from the Panthers this year. Complete overhaul.

  • At least their offense isn't a trainwreck.

  • An athlete saying they're "in the best shape of" their life gives me the same comfort as an old detective saying he's "a week from retirement."

  • Not everything is, but that's often what you see advertised because it's overpriced and fools people who don't know better. There is a buildapc community here on lemmy.world full of people that love to help and answer questions. Also, pcpartpicker.com is a great resource for finding parts and has several tiers of builds with handpicked parts to fit your budget without having to do much research.

  • BoB has a good history as a coach. Trainwreck as a GM. Plus he can't be worse than Patricia.

  • This (with JT probably holding out) leaves the colts with Deon Jackson as their best RB... not a great place to be.

  • Don't forget his owner shit-talking his fellow RBs who are in exactly the same position as him, but says "no this doesn't apply to Jonathan." I'd want out too.

  • Income taxes only effect money earned that year, and have plenty of loopholes to lower that amount significantly. A wealth tax is based on total wealth owned, so it hits every year at the full amount, assuming wealth never goes down. Think property taxes; you pay the same amount for your house tax every year, because you still own it. And if the value increases, so do the taxes.

  • I agree. FT is 10M and forces the Giants into a contract or retag (at a price hike) next year. Now they can just tag him next year for the same price and he's back to square one, but with one more year of mileage. And I guess 1M more dollars (assuming he hits every incentive).

  • The TLDR is that he got pissy at Twitter, made some threats to buy it out, accidentally made some legally binding business decisions (making an offer to buy a majority stake of Twitter), and got sued when he tried to back out. So he had the choice of going through with his offer (which was about 45 billion) or get fined several billions and walking away. That's the way I remember it all going down.

  • "Non-contact knee injury" is about as scary as it gets for athletes regarding non-life-threatening injuries. Hopefully it's an abundance of caution more than anything.

  • The author mentions the basketball shot call and how it's synchronized to play but doesn't mention that there ARE other clocks exactly like the football play clock - we just don't put them on the board. The refs count off seconds for inbounding and free throws and will award penalties when they go over. That's exactly how the play clock works. I also think more than likely many teams will take MORE time on early downs to guarantee a good play call, resulting in slower gameplay.

  • Yeah you used to see a few gonewild posts a day in /all. Then they made popular which I think was supposed to be all without the porn. Then they just removed the porn from all.

  • I use an SNES style controller and a USB GameCube controller for their respective games. I have used a couple N64 replica controllers, but they usually had terrible sticks and I just use the GC controller for them now.

  • I'm on lemmy.world, which I don't think has been defederated from lemmy.ml, but I couldn't say for sure. Either way, I know where to look. Thanks!

  • Thank you! Kind of strange, I don't see an option to subscribe. I'll have to figure that out.

  • Seems like at this point he's just waiting for a midseason injury. It's unlikely a team is interested and hasn't already reached out.

  • This article came out today, but the comments happened 2 days ago. So the onion "replied" the day after his comments.
