I do stuff and sometimes I don't do stuff

  • It remindeds me of the time my family signed up to AOL after using one of their free trial discs from a magazine. It has the same feel as those days, discovering forums and messages boards dedicated to all kinds of esoteric interests you could think of.

It's like the days before the dark times, before the empire.

  • Only the most superficial of people would use this reason as a method for diminishing or isolating someone.

I would question my relationship with them if this is their outlook.

  • Pretty much the same username I've had for years now. Gomiboy...yep,.it trash boy in Japanese. Kinda wish I had gone with something else now

  • Have been a Reddit user since 2009. Has been difficult to make the transition. You get complacinet as you get older. I was never a big contributor but this seems like a solid alternative

  • Generally speaking these broad policies to police the internet are drafted by people with little to no idea how the internet and networks work.

They always seem to be in response to limiting freedom of speech or safeguarding children from 'the dangers of the internet'

The truth of it is it's a parent's responsibility to limit access on their children's devices. It should be the government's responsibility and the vast majority of adults shouldn't have to endure censorship as the result of an ignorant policy shift to protect children and other vulnerable people in society.
