  • My knee jerk reaction is that the rumors I heard that the game isn't in a good place might be more then rumors. That sucks, I was really excited for this one, I hope it turns out great.

  • How I Met your Mother

  • I couldn't agree more. The idea seemed to have been "Hey, lets take a joke that was just luke warm at best to begin with, and then over use it in an attempt to wring every single spec of amusement out of it until our audience gets physically sick when they hear it"

    Still a fun show though!

  • Laser-Clown

  • It's a small plastic cup full of ground coffee, Kuerig machines use them. They generated a ton of plastic waste, since each k-cup was a single use.

  • I also second social media, but I need to make another suggestion it'd be Keurigs k-cups. So much plastic waste for the barest level of convenience.

  • Oh Hi-Rez you trash company. You ruined one of my favorite franchises of all time, not once, but twice with Tribes Ascend, and Tribes 3.

  • That's a tough decision to make, especially in today's gaming marketing, but I applaud them for stepping back and recognizing what they had wasn't good enough to sell. Blizzard made that decisions years ago with Starcraft Ghost, the Blizzard of today wouldn't make that same call any more.

  • I miss multiplayer in PC games being done by joining a server and playing. No match making bullshit, it was fun to be in a server with a mixture of skill levels. As compared with a lot of game snow, when ever your skills improve, you just get thrown into a harder tier of match making until you reach your limit and burn out.

  • The whole article is full of gross stuff if true. This part is ridiculous:

A 2022 story reported that a flight attendant on Musk’s private jet said he exposed himself and offered “to buy her a horse in exchange for an erotic massage,”

    Elon is such a weirdo.

  • Having grown up with Simpsons, it makes me sad to see it visualized that Simpsons has been awful much longer then it was actually good.

  • I thought that feature was related to the expensive for pay Copilot feature? The recall feature listed a huge amount of space required for it to work, something like 275 GB, SSD. There is no way that'll just be a baked in feature in normal home Windows. Am I wrong Lemmy? To be clear, that feature can F right off.

  • Damn, I didn't know they owned IMDB too. I love this Cool Guides community!

  • Exactly what I'd expect for something associated with Musk.

  • That's horse shit that the remaster of a classic PC gaming launching just on ps4 and ps5.

  • I hope that works! I never got into digital downloads on consoles in any big way, how companies make games from the online shop inaccessible once the console goes end of life is a damn shame! It feels like the more and more consoles move toward digital only, the less we'll have viable retro consoles in the future.

  • I noticed this bullshit a few days ago on my Win 11 desktop! I found if you go check the settings of the start bar, you can hide the copilot icon in the lower right, and then there's a check box to enable the lower right hand corner to work as show desktop again. The functionality can be restore to exactly as it was, but what the hell were they thinking.

    Enshitification, plain and simple.

  • Do we know they're bone conducting? or is this like the head phones on the Valve Index, highly directional and focused speakers which only project sound in a very narrow band spaciously?

  • I'd think that any alien species advanced enough to travel the stars would see a row of consistent shapes etched into the rock and realize it couldn't be nature. Maybe one face like rock sure, but 4 faces etched would be too big a coincidence and I think aliens would pick up on that. Now they wouldn't be able to tell much about us as a species other then we could work rock pretty well. They'd have no idea of what our bodies look like, or that the hair carved into the stone were soft strains of protein instead of a hard helmet like carapace. But I think they'd get intelligent life created the carvings on Mount Rushmore.
