  • Russia being a dictatorship implies they have total unquestionable control of all of Russian territory, which would put them at the top of the list by a lot.

  • The wasps like to build their home in the shade, e.g. your home.

Later in the season they get aggressive over the smell of meats, ferments, and high calorie foods because they are all starving because wasp larvae are born in the spring and summer and process all of the adult wasp's food for them but in the fall there are no more larvae so there is no food.

  • Look around, pal. That's not a threat it's just an observation. At this point any vote to tax the lower brackets is a vote to squeeze blood from stones. Clearly there is a lot more blood at the top to start skimming, Elon Musk is on track to become the first official Trillionaire.

  • AI hit a dead end in the 1970s but the robotics is neat. I really like the ones that run on rails to pick products out of bins, I saw an automated grocery store like that once and it was amazing.

  • Fuck em, they can't vote more kids into existence no matter how much they try.

  • So are climate change, limited resources, and dependence on synthetic ammonia to feed half the world.

If we massage the issue of a bad ratio of young to old then we face other arguably worse problems in different areas. IMO, just rip the bandaid off. It's the previous generations' fault for putting us in this situation to start with, they can suffer for it.

Also, miss me with that infrastructure bullshit. Industrialization allows 1 person to do the work of ten or even a hundred. It's not like having more kids will increase the number of doctors, electricians, or forklift certified individuals: the numbers of each are strictly controlled by governments and organizations.

  • Unironically yeah, tho.

  • And it only doubles the amount of power usage of any metropolitan area it is installed in...

  • The comment I made was literally about public perception, so yes the public abso-fucking-lutely decides on this.

  • Just don't count and you can experience it yourself. Han Solo dies in the new Star Wars films.

  • My bad, me an 22 others who upvoted my comment were mistaken, as were the 45 who downvoted the meme. Clearly the messaging is fine and not at all tone deaf. Carry on.

  • I swear the Vegan community has to be some kind of anti-vegan psyops.

"Bodily autonomy advocates are all hypocrites and cows are literally people" is such a tone deaf stance perfect for making only enemies.

  • I wouldn't say it is fair, no, but I am defending property taxes an the two aren't really comparable at all.

Let it be known I have been informing people since 2023 that Kamala Harris' campaign included an Unrealized Gains Tax over $1M which alone could have changed american society for the better.

  • The county offices aren't billionaires. They tax the billionaires. They are literally the kind of institutions that billionaires fight to control or dismantle.

Also, roads funding do not come from a singular source in the USA. Some roads are county roads paid for by local offices, other roads are maintained with state funding.

  • Hopefully Syria isn't stupid enough to replace the Ba'ath with Al-Queda. It will be a real "how many times do we have to teach you this lesson, old man" kind of moment, except instead of being funny it will just be horrible.

  • Realized capital gains are usually taxed at a higher rate depending on the amount of time it was held, but I agree high earners should be taxed a lot more.

  • To play devil's advocate, homeowners use a lot of publicly owned civil infrastructure such as water, power, data, and roads. Property taxes are very local.
