  • This article already seems disingenuous. DSA Salt Lake City Utah’s Statement on Palestine https://slcdsa.org/2023/10/10/salt-lake-dsa-statement-in-support-of-palestinian-liberation/ does not mention Hamas killing civilians let alone justify it. It vaguely uses the quote they cite to say that Palestine has a right to self defense, and even offense, which it does. I do not believe that this right includes the right to commit war crimes like killing civilians. We vote on statements in DSA, and such a statement certainly would not get my vote, but this statement is not that.

  • Water becomes your friend. Humans were literally designed for hot African weather. Until it reaches the hundreds you should be totally fine even comfortable if you take the right precautions.

    I never feel right in winter gear, it traps a layer of sweat and fails to cover my face. It always disincentivizes me from leaving my heated indoor environments, and no matter how much you wear you still know it’s cold. However I’m fine existing outside from 55-95 degrees.

  • We should have fast and slow buses. One bus that stops at every stop along a route, another which goes a distance in a city only stopping at a few. That would greatly speed up transportation in my area.

    As for poverty, everyone should be able to go on the bus. IMO they should be free and taxpayer funded. I have no idea what to do about “undesirables” except that we need to fix homelessness and poverty.
