  • If I’m being honest, the pricing might be a bit too high for an unproven platform like Lemmy. Obviously, I’m not against monetization and you should be rewarded for your work, but I do wonder how many people are gonna be willing to pay for Pro if (for example) Lifetime costs more than the first release of Apollo Ultra.

  • Monetizing your work is more than fair, and depending on the price, I def wouldn’t mind dropping a couple doubloons on that Lifetime option.

    Good luck on the release!

  • Easily the money. There were many things in life that didn’t go quite right for me, but there was a lot that did as well. If I muck around with what already happened, I might end up worse than I did.

  • Holy shit you actually believe that nonsense. Wow.

  • The 15 is probably gonna do huge numbers this year, thanks to the design changes and USB-C. Kinda wish I’d gotten that but I really couldn’t put off an upgrade anymore and got the 14 Pro.

  • Stocks aren’t money to begin with, they’re an asset class. The money invested in stocks is as real as any other dollar though.

  • You see, the problem with your argument is that stock isn’t money, it’s an asset. While you can call the asset itself bogus, the money backing it is ‘real’; that’s why entire life savings can be wiped out if the market suddenly goes ‘kaput’.

  • Monkey’s Paw lol

  • China has not invaded any countries in my lifetime.

    • Continue to send their military to Taiwan’s borders and harass them
    • Claim entire parts of India for themselves, turns into violent clashes periodically
    • STILL maintain their iron grip over Tibet
    • Used debt trap diplomacy to seize ports and large pieces of infrastructure in poor nations globally

lol, the only reason they haven’t enacted a full-scale invasion in recent memory is because their neighbors are either nuclear powers or backed by them.

Now they are the most powerful nation on earth

lmao please tell me you don’t actually believe that

  • Did I say that the US wasn’t a bad actor? It’s just that Russia and China are too, unless you believe their propaganda.

    Russia’s war isn’t a ‘denazification operation’ btw

  • Oh nice, you’re a tankie. Thanks for letting me know.

  • Like Russia and China and yes the USA

  • As much as I would love to see nuclear disarmament, the unfortunate fact remains that bad actors will continue to keep their weapons; which will, of course, later be used as a threat against those who don’t have these weapons.

  • Define ‘real dollars’ lol. Most money is just numbers on a spreadsheet.

  • Highly unlikely. GF wants as many people to buy this game as possible, and I doubt they’ll tie its story to 10+ y/o games that they don’t even sell anymore.

  • I care. This thing’s already thick and heavy enough, and I don’t particularly care about popping the back off my phone to replace a battery. It’s like…once every two years that I have to replace it.

  • It uses pull-tab adhesive, which even most Right-to-Repair advocates consider ‘sufficiently repairable’. When it comes to glue, Samsung’s worse by a mile.

  • With Apple, people generally let it slide because electronics aren’t as expensive and don’t last as long. Cars, on the other hand, are extraordinarily expensive and they’re supposed to last a lot longer than a phone.

Plus, at least Apple doesn’t (for example) charge you extra just to ‘unlock’ more performance on your phone.

  • There’s plenty of tankies on the platform.
