Tbf, mainline kernels are a thing in ubuntu based systems and ive been running 7.0 from day one ( now 7.0.2).Your argument is moot to me, specially with the new releases. There is an argument for old software in mint/debian based systems, but kernel aint it. There is also 6.17 for ubuntu, which is supported by them, incase mainline is too technical for somebody.

There is more to it though. The one feature i miss from windows is casting.I dont mean chromecast, i got that working. I mean wireless casting to a tv or projector. The windows + k feature.Ive yet to get that working in linux...Besides that, im a happy linux person
Ye no. Im a cli boy and even still i use podman desktop for my podman containers on my pc.A good gui goes a long way for something that has a gazillion parameters. But also, you will take my git cli from my cold dead hands god damnit
The amd strix halo itself should be a beast for ai, no need for a dgpu. However, you are sometimes limited because nvidia has pushed for cuda so bad its the go to for a lot of tools if you dont want to run the llm on cpu
