I know my neighbors are doing it to their kids and years on now, all I can do is regularly show those kids through interactions with them and my kids that it doesn't have to be like that. We're not talking physical abuse. If it were, I woulda dealt with that bullshit long ago. We're talking; you gotta play this sport, you gotta get these grades, you gotta worship this religion, you gotta do whatever tf we say and stand where we stand, etc etc. The best part, the primary thing the adults prattle on about is how much they hate their controlling parents and how much their kids don't listen. It is the definition of insanity and it feels insurmountable and horrifying.
