I don't think that people can... And most don't even know, that they already use algorithms like the one in FF, on a daily basis, in Adobe-programs, in Spotify, in Youtube, on FB, and so forth... And FF is keeping peoples privacy, and the "AI" local... And the others I mentioned don't do that. They profile and sell, every facking one of them...
I have actually been able to "sell" Firefox to some people who wasn't ready to switch before, because they like AI... And they also like privacy...
But there will always be some, that will insist on something being bad - they need to keep their crusade going.
The main problem is, that BigTech abuses the inner fire of Open Source developers. They monetize it, but don't send money to the makers... They send the money to their shareholders.
Suggest it, don't whine about it. There are tons of features/possibilities that I bet you never use, and that you don't turn of. If you really believe that free software, that you don't even support or contribute to, should listen to your complaints, then my friend, you are delusional.
I really can't understand why it's frustrating to get a free app/browser, that cares about internet freedom, not being spied upon and so forth, just because you get the ability to use AI, that many people demand today.
I don't really use AI, but I really don't whine about it being there. I don't care, I don't notice... Take a deep breath, and enjoy your free software, from a company that cares about all it's users... And if that's not enough, submit a suggestion, donate some money to help it evolve faster...

The "AI" that Firefox is implementing is not "autonomous" - do look up the definitions, please! It is not sentient, it can't hallucinate, since it is not sentient. What the big tech are making (their LLM) can't hallucinate either - they just do something that looks like it, and we put silly terms on it, like hallucinating. You are NOT getting a neural network on your own computer when you install Firefox - now you are just being daft!
