Not gonna lie, it's stuff like this that discourages me from reading currently releasing series, for all you know it could always end up as Berserk, with the end in sight but never closer. Because of this I mostly like reading mangas/comics that are already finished nowadays, I hate cliffhangers.
I'm referencing the Nerevarine prophecy which states that the reincarnated Nerevar would restore the worship of the original gods and drive out the outlanders from Morrowind, it's basically an ethnostate by that point. What I find most bizarre is the fact that the player is basically responsible for destroying Vvanderfell after killing Vivec (or at least making him mortal again) and causing the Red Year, I don't remember if it's ever implied in the game that that's going to happen, but in retrospect you're not really the hero of the story, you basically killed everyone post-credits lol.
The world building in Morrowind is what makes it my favorite TES game, it's so distinct to any other fantasy game. One of my favorite aspects is how Vvanderfell has its own versions of the mainland guilds AND the mainland guilds themselves competing with their Dunmer counterparts, there's an Imperial cult presence but the Temple also exists... It's a very insular world with a very distinct culture and everyone just fucking hates you for no reason. It's great.
Even the main quest is kind of bonkers when you think about it, the end goal is basically overthrowing the government and installing a Dunmer ethno state... And the Emperor is fine with it lol.
Mods are definitely the one thing giving their games longevity, nobody would be still playing Skyrim or Fallout 4 nowadays if it wasn't for the plethora of mods. In fact I feel kind of sorry for people playing on console, because the vanilla experience is just mediocre as fuck.
I haven't owned a small phone in like 10 years, my last one was a Xperia Z3 Compact but I remember it being considerably cheaper than the flagship model, especially considering the hardware was inferior.
Honestly this whole thing was a massive disappointment, 30+ announcements and of those only 4 new games while everything else were minor (often meaningless) updates and release dates of early access games. Maybe it's time these game showcases went away as a whole, they're never good.
They made an attempt at a big splash recently with plans to create a Linux-powered system to rival SteamOS (Steam Deck) and Windows across various devices and multiple stores.
Okay, that's cool...
The first device has been announced and it's some weird web3 thing.
I didn't really play for long so I'm not really the best to answer that, but from my limited play time I remember being a decent amount of solo content (your usual fetch quests and whatnot, everything voice acted which is really nice considering it's an MMO) but there's also content that requires a party like dungeons and stuff, the game has your usual tank/healer/dps framework so you really can't escape it.
Don't expect it to be anything like the traditional TES games, it's an MMO through and through just with a Skyrim coat of paint. I say this because I got the game for cheap some time ago out of curiosity to see more of Tamriel and I still got disappointed.
Not being stuck inside of an echo chamber really does wonders for the brain. And yes, I know the irony of saying this on Lemmy, but it's true.
