Same same. I went from living in the US 3 months of every year for various jobs to now where I won't even fly over. I love our american friends, but their leadership (and lack of pushback against the same) have made it a non-starter for even visiting.
This logic in infuriating. You had sourced reasons, and ongoing discussion, but you decided to put forth a baseless theory that attempts to disprove the discussion and studied facts based on your feelings as a child 20+ years ago?
I was one of those kids that went to school when there were no options other than the Catholic or Protestant school board. I spent most of my time in the Catholic system, but I can guarantee there were a ton of immigrants in both systems. My kindergarten and grade 1 classes were the most diverse of any class I've ever attended, including University
Is there a reason for this question? Some news that I may have missed?
Edit to add: for some reason the link wasn't showing up when I first opened this post. Now I see that there's actually a story attached. My bad.
Sadly I called these folks in the spring and they were not very forthcoming with any details about pricing and were quite dismissive of someone who only wanted one pallet. Maybe their sales team had a bad day that day, but it turned me off very quickly.
My wife and I lived in our RV for 5 years while I was working for clients in different provinces and states. I was making what can only be called ludicrous amounts of money. But people assumed we were broke - which was just fine by me :p
Our NA culture does seem to find a way to add stigma to just about anything out of the ordinary doesn't it?
It is absolutely ridiculous. Folks like me with two decades plus of experience in massive scale deployments and scalable architectures can basically take a mini retirement right now. Because we know well that in 2 years we'll have so many messes to clean up that it will be a seller's market in the high-skilled engineering and architecture roles.
These companies are all dropping half billion dollar projects run by groups of Juniors who will never learn how to be seniors by the time these fragile platforms start falling apart.
Furlow the squirrel-o is offended by your unfounded accusations.
More seriously though. Given abundance of food basically everything we 'know' about animal species interaction gets thrown out the window.
At any moment outside my window you find a dozen species eating side by side every single day that we were told would 'for sure kill each other before sharing a food source'.
What that says about scarcity in relation to humanity I'll leave to someone else...
Then you may want to rewrite this part. Because what I understood was essentially the same as:
Coroner: Gunshot wound in the back of the head. Here is the blood, there is the exit wound. and this is a bullet fragment.
Ari: I think the real reason they died is how they were pricing their labour
Bota: Are you for fuckin' real right now?
