  • All just the norm these days

  • I would prefer that Alphabet keep Android open, but honestly, how can anybody be surprised? Eventually Google is going to tighten the screws on Android. I haven't looked into it, but hopefully there are some truly free options out there. Graphene?

  • Not using Steam OS, but using Linux with Steam is so good these days. I can see any reason to go back to Windows.

  • I see. Don't compete, just ban and continue with the same outdated car tech.

  • I want to buy an EV from Honda,Toyota or Ford. But all their options suck. I feel like I'm just idlly waiting for them to get their shit together.

  • The average user is not going with Linux, unless it's hidden. Microsoft knows this. Go Valve!

  • They're promising everything except new games, sigh.

  • So did Trump help alternative power?

  • Would be funny if it was the Pentagon

  • Waiting here in my area. Hopefully they allow us soon. I worry that big energy has deep ties in government.

  • I install my OS and gui with system packages (minimal setup mostly) and everything else with flatpaks. It's not perfect. There's bloat and cleanup evolved, and some packages I didn't trust. And sometimes you still need to build an app from source. But it fixed a bunch of issues you mentioned. It's also nice to limit permissions on apps.

  • Good deal for them. Bad deal for every system in the US that relies in taxes.

  • Really?

  • Does it work in command line?

  • It's all in who you know

  • The Steam Deck effect

  • Obviously it's a marketing issue. BA ha ha ha.
