  • My parents drove me mad trying to remotely setup mom's new phone, team viewer does not work on her phone so I have my dad hold the camera over the screen so I could see what they are doing, except dad keeps moving his hand so the screen does not fully remain in view and my mum doesn't understand a single basic concept about smart phones and will drive me nuts asking me twice if she should do something I explicitly asked her to do, only to then find out she has no clue how to do it.

  • Funny how American mega corps force their way into developing nations using political bullying and destroy these nations smaller businesses with uncompetitive practices but they don't want to risk competing with any foreign company on their own turf

  • Nobody likes the pointless tedium of meaningless meetings yet we are all forced to perform in that circus, I wonder if upper management forces this style of working because their day to day job is nothing but meetings and so that's what they think working looks like for everyone or maybe they are insecure about the fact that they don't build anything concrete and so they want others to do meetings to legitimize their own job in the eyes of others.

  • I mean find me a company that's not evil in some way, all companies are run by people and humans at their core are all selfish apathetic cunts, good people are an exception, yeah Meta is evil but so are almost any company at their scale, still of you have options I would not work there, they actively work on destroying society to benefit the parasite class

  • If you thing these are complicated words you'd need a dictionary for then buddy you failed at school

  • I just finished children of memory and struggled with that book a lot because of the time jumps and confusing plot as well, seems like the next book is more of the same, the first 2 books in this series was really interesting, is the 4th book worth it

  • This is the one book I keep thinking about when I'm having a bout of existentialism, one of the best first contact type novels I've read

  • Started reading Red Rising by Pierce Brown, so far it reads like a YA novel which I don't like, hopefully that changes as I read further

  • Started Red Rising by Pierce Brown, I know it's a popular series but so far it reads like a YA novel, I'm hoping that changes as I keep reading, cause the YA stuff is boring and predictable

  • Seems like a lot of asian languages follow this structure, a bunch of Indian languages are like this as well

  • Yup most people seem to have no taste of their own, they only value what others have already liked, they have no personality of their own

  • The point is to show to others that you stood in front of something famous, the painting itself is of no value to these people

  • Who cares awake or asleep he's still garbage and so are you

  • The AI stuff is behind a switch I have not seen a single AI feature while using Firefix nor do I see any ads

  • Exactly, being born to idiots is a rough existence anyway, those kids got spared
