  • Good, and the viewing figures will likely continue to drop globally while KAN (Israels broadcaster) are allowed in.

    Death to Eurovision!

  • If you have lycamobile or similar in your country... You can walk into a store and just pick one up for free. In some countries they do have an activation fee, but I think that can be as little as €5 in Europe. Other providers offer similar, and then keep the number for 6 months or activate again.

  • I didn't see it initially, so I just assumed the other poster was correct (along with the other comments). Either way, it is undeniably correct now.

Good luck with the project, I would guess that it is going to be huge to maintain.

A few other phone OS's mentioned in this thread - It is in Buy European, but not all are European, It's mainly to help people move away from big tech on their phones.

  • I'd say OP changed it. It seems to be their project.

  • Matrix is listed as USA? Can someone explain that?

It has been edited/fixed already (fairly quickly)

  • I wonder why they didn't mention Fairphone. There are a few others worth getting an honourable mention too.

    iodé

GrapheneOS - Partner with Motorola, although the first Graphene phone may not be until early 2027

Operating Systems (as are both above) that can be installed to a list of devices that can be purchased today. Nothing really new here, I just thought it might be nice to have a longer list of devices all in the one place.

    LineageOS

    PostmarketOS

    /e/OS

    CalyxOS (Discontinued?)

    Ubuntu Touch

    Replicant OS

    Mobian OS

  • Make sure to use the clean water, and not the contaminated stuff, just in case it filters it.

  • Among a list of demands made by the Football Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran is that only officially recognized national flags should be displayed during the team’s games, extending to those flags carried by fans in the stands.

If enforced, that would prevent the visibility of Pride rainbow flags

The sensationalist headline vs. what the article actually says are two very different things.

it's likely that there are other reasons Iran don't want flags. It's all politics. https://iranwire.com/en/features/152112-iran-wants-opposition-flags-banned-at-the-2026-world-cup-but-america-isnt-qatar/

  • It'd be like a car going over a cattle grid.. but with the blood n gut pops.

  • Who doesn't like bubble wrap?

    😖😬😩

  • Death to Eurovision

  • Thanks. bookmarked to read later.

  • UK media has been barred from disclosing it until now.

How had it not been 'leaked' to foreign media and reported on? It is nothing short of disgusting that the government can act with such impunity when they decide to do something that they are fully aware would generate harsh criticism.

Nothing that the government do or decide upon should be banned from the media, with the exception of where it may affect children in a negative way.

The whole reason that they are in their positions are because people who trusted them gave them their vote. It absolutely flies a massive "fuck you" in the face of that.

  • I was going to post that quote 😄

How the fuck did it have "nothing to do with the president"??

  • Thanks, love coming across these and the Calvin & Hobbes (although that seems to have disappeared) among others. Love the daily comics 😁

    • EDIT

Thanks everyone, rejoined it and it's now back in my feed 🤗

  • It's doubtful that the kid 'fooled' it. It's far more likely that it's programmed to let any kids that try to circumvent it, 'fool' it.

I don't use any social media other than this, and maybe a few music/audio forums.

But. I honestly don't get why more haven't moved to Pixelfed or Nerimity, as they are far more privacy focused (not very hard comparing to anything Meta).

If it's lack of communities/people, why not use the meta platform to advertise one of those two, the way everyone did the "je suis Charlie" thing that was all over the news a few years ago?

Meta are apparently unable to stop users doing something like that, allegedly.

Or so it seems when it's not their problem.

They are genuine questions by the way.. I don't get it, but I've never been on any of them, not even MySpace or Bebo.

  • Textmagic has a PAYG option.

    Clicksend is another one.

BUT. They will all get you on pricing one way or another. For example Textmagic might be (slightly) higher cost per message than you're used to, but as they offer Pay As You Go, you can limit that when suits.

Clicksend is more affordable than most, but it's GUI isn't beautiful. get past that and there's no issues.

There are others, but they're the ones I would look at first.

  • EU want the data themselves to sell it too. Some of those politicians are seeing money signs in their eyes with money jingling in their ears whenever they hear 'user data'. With all of that data, comes massive profits and power. They have no interest in protecting our privacy.
