  • It does use nerd fonts for the River Logo though, I use JetBrains font so I thought might as well have some logo to aknowledge the project. Other configurations on the repomight make use of more icons.

    Have a good one tinkering!

  • I do, moved my account to a new one.

    old dotfiles

    current dotfiles

The Waybar configuration you are looking for is in the old repo, it should have the same custom theme and everything. enjoy!

  • Maybe change the icon too. Let me see at a glance which account I’m using.

There is an option somewhere that allows to change hamburger menu icon to your profile image.

Settings >> General >> Use profile picture as drawer.

Add “Subscribed” as a default feed option.

App uses you account's default sort in settings.

Settings >> Account >> Default feed type

    Cheers

    Tinkering Bug

  • I'm on River too, but I still wish one could move windows across monitors just like in Sway and Hyprland. I'm referring to the fallback window movement when it reaches the end of a monitor and there is an available monitor in that direction so it sends the window to said available monitor. I think it makes for a low cognitive effort workflow.

  • Overall I would say it is more stable and less features than Hyprland. And recently it has Waybar modules so you can have a complete status bar. Personally would prefer Niri over Hyprland on a laptop if I do not plan on connecting monitors. The issue I had is that there are too many actions available to move windows including across monitors and setting simple keybinds for all of those becomes a problem. It just did not work for me as I use two monitors.

  • The parameter that usually gives me away is the window size, the page suggests its a brittle way of tracking someone since this will usually change from time to time. Not to mention that I'm using a browser that randomizes initial window size,
